As Director of Semprecon, Umut provides strategic leadership across all client appointments, overseeing planning, project controls, and commercial delivery. With over 13 years of international experience, he has successfully managed major construction schemes across sectors including infrastructure, power, healthcare, sports, retail, and mixed-use developments.

Having worked on both the principal contractor and subcontractor side, Umut brings a well-rounded understanding of the full project lifecycle. He is experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams through complex interfaces involving design, procurement, programming, and on-site execution, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Umut has extensive knowledge of standard and bespoke contract forms, including NEC and JCT, and a deep understanding of UK construction regulations and statutory compliance. He excels at establishing delivery frameworks, aligning stakeholder expectations, and maintaining commercial and programme discipline throughout the life of a project.

Osman is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) with over 15 years of experience providing commercial management and cost consultancy across a wide range of project types and contract structures. With a background in civil engineering and a master’s in construction management, he brings both technical insight and strong commercial acumen to every engagement.

He has successfully supported clients through all stages of the project lifecycle — from early-stage cost planning and procurement strategy to contract administration, variation control, and final account settlement. His ability to work across complex, multi-package environments enables him to manage commercial risk, maintain cost certainty, and align procurement and delivery strategies with project objectives.

Osman is experienced in administering standard and bespoke contract forms, including JCT and FIDIC, and has worked with both main contractors and specialist subcontractors. This dual perspective allows him to understand stakeholder priorities, navigate contractual frameworks, and support informed decision-making on live projects. At Semprecon, he provides focused commercial leadership, ensuring clarity, consistency, and control across all aspects of project delivery.
